No...... we would have been 3-0 up by then and by scoring, the ball would have been somewhere else’s round the pitch, so they might, but probably wouldn’t have scored at all..... you may need some time to work that out but trust me!!!!!

That’s hilarious. Ifs and buts. The only thing that matters is what actually happened and we lost 1-0...

Well that’s the sustainable club model for you. As players develop those that have star potential are sold and the squad takes a step back until the next lot of youngsters come through. The consequence is a lurch forward followed by a shuddering brake. If the conveyer belt continues to produce the club will be financially sound. If it doesn’t the financial picture is likely to worsen quickly.

The good news is that averaging a point a game should be enough to keep us up.

Not in the Championship, 50 points is the Premiers 40 here.... 😁

Just think if we had scored 6 goals in the first half. We could have erased their goals for games to come.

I made that comment responding to someone’s previous silly comment.   Had you read that, you wouldn’t have commented foolishly.   Never mind.

It was a close game which we could and probably should have won, save for a slip.

Skipp and Rupp look excellent in the middle and I can see them two getting better and better. Gibson looked like he has played nearly every game for the last two years , not just a handful. Buendia was rusty and a change tactically some time after the penalty miss, may have changed the dynamic more in our favour. Hugill on before Idah may have been the answer.

It was a superb Rooney free kick and other than that they had very little.

We are not that far away from putting a decent run together.

Again, factor in the crowd at CR and things may well have turned out better, again.

Disappointed but not unduly worried.

I think saying we could have won that 3-0 when the opposition scored one is a strange comment too

The conditions were horrific though, so many moves broke down because players lost their footing and it was very hard to play pass and move football on that pitch.

Which is why with the pitch a slippery as glass you needed Hugill to bully their defenders, and for everyone else to try to get into shooting positions and pepper the goal. Tippy tappy football was never going to happen today in those conditions.

Given that we have played 4 (inc Luton) bang average Championship sides so far this season and only beaten one of them I think your confidence is admiral, even though it appears to be wildly optimistic

Our formation required an attacking midfielder scoring regularly.  Perhaps Pukki needs to drop to the No. 10 role, and someone else play as the main striker.

Said we were unlucky (Pukki slipping for penalty, terrific saves from goalie, dominated but didn't create enough but nothing fundamentally wrong). Derby did classic smash & grab.

Sh!t happens.

On the bright side, Gibson looked decent & Mario looked his old classy self when he came on.

It was 0-0 when he came on though wasn't it.

Changed his tune then. During the match commentary he was saying you make your own luck.

The most ridiculous piece of 'wisdom' ever uttered. By definition luck refers to things outside your control.

Luck is where opportunity and preparedness meet, we had the opportunity so by this definition we weren't prepared, says it all imo.

No, luck is the description of the outcome of a situation where the variables are too many & too complex for you to make a proper risk assessment.

Yeah, but it’s much cleverer to pretend the sky is falling in and we’ll do well to avoid relegation, call for the manager to be sacked and blame it in the owners.

Four points after 4 games - the expectation was at least 10. Farke could spend at least until Christmas putting out his best side from 'training' and they still won't knit together. He'll still be making his first sub at 89 minutes. New broom......or Alex N can come back if he likes.
