Farke still in control?

Recommended Posts

It is always hard to directly manage & motivate people for more than 2 years (experience at a very high level)

Not sure Farke gets his key players motivated any more - ref Cantwell & Buendia

Face palm some of his team selections / tactics & subs - along with trying & failing to defend over 3 seasons at set pieces

3 ex very decent Championship players still waiting to be off loaded for free !

No attacking midfield players in the squad (pity Dowell got injured)

Gave Farke a 'free bat' last season - but is was hard to watch such poor displays from our un-motivated, & even unfit team in the Prem

Time for Farke to go??? - my thoughts after every game now within the Championship (that Farke says is lower quality) is growing towards a YES - time for a change very soon, unless he can get the squad to gel very very very soon

The problem with being the manager of NCFC is that you're always doing it with one hand tied behind your back.

Would anyone else come in and do a better job, who knows 🤷‍♂️

There's no evidence for any of this. Just nonsense.

Fully accept that funds are always tight at NCFC

People management is hard - so Farke in place for 3 or 4 years, he needs to be expectational to continue motivating his immediate staff of players

I assume that's why Webber brought in loads of newbies (not 1st team players)

Farke needs to get wins now  - or say goodbye ...

He'll be judged over the first 10 games. So far we've W1, L1, D1. Derby tomorrow are a team on the slide in total disarray, and we're at home. If we don't win tomorrow, more questions will be asked. If we win comfortably tomorrow, we'll be top half and on 7/12 points which I would deem an acceptable start given the squad upheaval.

Farke will not be sacked he and all his teutonic staff will need to be paid off and a new manager/coach to bring in a new team at the cost of many millions.  If none of the recent recruits can step up to the first team and no youngsters make it it could be problematic but expect some to make it.  Then in a season or two we will back to the current scenario.

Cantwell over rated if Leeds want to invest £22m or whatever bite their hands off.  Send Buendia to the footballers graveyard that is Turkey if they want him.  Will need a rebuild but always thought that was what this season was about not automatic too soon for that.

Martin may prove to be instrumental in midfield creativity

This season could end up very similar to 2014/2015.

Farkes blind faith in a player (Kenny Mclean) who creates and scores nothing and cant tackle will be his downfall.

Agreed that the early signs are a bit like 14/15 for many reasons. The only difference being we’ve signed a lot of new players who could be the difference once they’ve settled in and gelled. Equally, they may not be upto it but I’ll give him 10 matches. As said earlier, a win today and it’s a decent start in the circumstances. A defeat and it’s a pretty terrible one. Fine lines....

No fans in stadiums means the club are less accountable in all aspects

a) some of the dreadful performances after restart last season would never have been able to have got away with in front of fans.

b) the Buendia/Cantwell situation....they can act like they are knowing there will be no crowd reaction to them...just as Farke knows he can leave them out without a fan backslash inside a stadium

c) the club know that they can sell who they like without backlash from the crowd in the ensuing games.
