O/T Macclesfield Wound Up in High Order Court

Recommended Posts

Among all our moans about the owners, querying why we didn't invest last year, why are we selling Aarons, Buendia etc this is a timely reminder of the real threat that some clubs are facing (and we could easily have been or still could be in a similar situation).

We might all have different opinions and have lots of arguments over it all but for one I couldn't imagine a world without the club I love.

Really feel for the fans of all those clubs that are going under.

EFL always believed Macclesfield were in serious danger financially having failed to pay players on 6 seperate occasions in last 2 seasons and appealed to ensure they would not embarass the EFL by going bust during the season.  Always a basket case accident waiting to happen.

Need to weed out these clubs for the integrity of the league.

It's not always 'someone's ' fault. Sometimes, despite peoples best efforts, things go titsup.  This Covid shoite will be the final nail in many a coffin.

You'll be looking for some time to find much integrity in the upper tiers of football.

The lack of a stinking rich Chinese owner is really hurting many clubs

If everybody had one, they wouldn't be so special  would they?

A couple of years ago, that could have been us. Last year, it was Bury. It almost was Bolton. It could be Wigan.

Yep, also shows, despite the goings on pitch wise, which of course is important, that what SW  and the Board have done off the pitch in getting City converted from the situation they were in to one of relative good health in just 2 or 3 years, was not only of the highest importance but, with the onset of the Covid situation, has been the most imperative and with it, the most successful transformation in the clubs entire history in my opinion. Add to that the hugely succesful warmth that DF has been given by the fans and the amazing momentum that arose in the Championship season  just  18 months ago or less, lead by DF and not even a bruising relegation from the Prem has really dented the status of of the club right now.

It could have been us, but because our Delia and the Board brought in SW and DF, it was'nt usand is'nt us.
