I give Farke 10 league games to sort this mess out and I think we need a minimum of 15 points from those matches. If he picks Kenny in all 10, which seems likely, i do not envisage is getting anywhere near that total. Although the same could be said of Zimbo currently.

Anything less than a win on Saturday, against another team in a mess, and I think the pressure really starts to mount. That pressure could start before the match depending on what other issues transpire over the next few days and another depressing team selection.

I think it’s a bit dramatic to say we are in a mess.

I'm not even sure God would shore up our seemingly innate defensive frailties, though a back three of God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost might be worth a go.

So, just one at the back then!!!

Three games in and away win, home draw, away loss and we're in a 'mess' that needs 'sorting out'.

Oh the drama. You guys know they're filming Eastenders again if you need your fix?

Maybe for some games, but not others, but it's a different debate really. I was just saying that I would much rather that if Mario plays he plays high up the pitch rather than in a deeper role.

Agree that’s a no brainier but my question is if we revert to two strikers, one playing deeper than the other but two strikers do we need McClean, Rupp or Vrancic alongside Skipp?

Without Cantwell, Buendia we only really have Steipermann as a number ten. The rest can definitely do a job and as you say Vrancic can pick a pass but not as creative as the three above.

I hate to say it but without Cantwell or Buendia we look a very ordinary side.

How would you guys define a mess at a football club then? And what more would need to happen for us to be in one?

Derby County!!!

Constantly bending the financial rules just to keep the club afloat - played 3 lost 3 this season and humped 4-0 at home in their last match.

I wouldn't be at all unhappy to see Mario playing as number ten - and Farke has already said that he sees him as a number 10 these days.

If we play two strikers and two wingers and a specialist number 10 then we've only got room for one central midfielder anyway.

If you are suggesting that the deeper lying striker is playing the number 10 role then I guess you can put one of the other midfielders alongside Skipp. But, like you I would like to see at least one or preferably both of Cantwell and Buendia playing - whether that will ever happen again remains to be seen.

This might sound rich coming from someone who has repeatedly said that i donlt think McClean should be in the side but i think some of our fans need to lay off him and indeed all of our players at the moment. The club just tweeted about him being called up for Scotland and immediately half a dozen of our fans replied saying how sh*t he is or asking what dirt he has on the Scotland manager to get selected.

We seem to have a lot of fans for who seem unable to distinguish between saying a player should not be selected at the expense of other players and "that player is sh*t." I don;t think Kenny should be starting for us based on his form at the end of last season and start of this (indeed I think we've always had more effective players in the squad) but I also donlt think he's sh*t and I dont think our fans should be giving him abuse when its evident that he does at least care.

I did think that as I was typing it. Perhaps I should have given Sheffield Wednesday as an example instead. Currently on -8 points!

I don't like the berate players stance, but I genuinely think he's our weak link in midfield. And whether you watch Norwich, listen on the radio, all the pundits constantly rate him as one of the worst every game. SO we can't all be wrong, all the time!

Would like to see Sorensen given a go to see if he has the potential in that role next to Skipp. Obviously if Buendia/Cantwell both go, we're seriously short of a box to box midfielder, and a No.10 that provides creativity

Would Josh Martin fill the No.10, in the absence of Stieps, but no guarantee he'll reach his previous heights. So we're left with giving Mario a chance to show he can help us out!

That’s true, yet his last outing for Scotland was against a last minute makeshift Czech side with only two players with any international experience and a stand in manager and guess who gave the ball away for their goal!

He’s certainly not ****e, he’s certainly got good parts to his game but he’s so inconsistent it’s one reason we’re not as fluent as we were two years ago.

Farke likes him and the rest of us can just talk about our opinions, that’s about it. But you’re right no need to rude about any of our players.

Sorry, not my cup of tea as a player but there you go. I've seen a lot of ordinary players over the years at NCFC and he's one of them.

Not surprised at his extended contract and it's shrewd timing in case there is a late bid come in before the transfer window closes.

One win, one draw, one loss is hardly indicative of a "mess" is it?

We need to sort the squad, that's for sure. If Todd and Emi have downed tools, then we do need to ensure this is sorted out.
