I used to have a strong dislike for Leeds, (leaving Ipswich aside for a moment) up there with Man United, Chelsea & Liverpool. However I've kind of forgotten about them as they've become fairly inconsequential since their David O'Leary/Peter Ridsdale implosion. I don't really care if they stay up or not this season - I won't be paying much attention to the EPL or watching MOTD at all this season.

I think they'll be in & around the relegation spots come the last few games, but they might just squeak it. Not that I'll be watching, but it might be interesting to see how they fare against the middle-lower end clubs (e.g. Burnley, Palace, Everton, Southampton, West Ham etc.) in comparison to ourselves pre-lockdown. For the most part we were generally competitive (more so against Top 8 teams?) but couldn't compete consistently through the midfield and pathetic around set-pieces at both ends until confidence drained away. Are Leeds better set? Will injuries bite? Do I actually care?

[Aside - to echo Fenway Frank above: Lowfields - don't bother coming back]

In denial are you? Don't tell me. Ask the rest of the world. Admire your team. Despise so many of your supporters.

Go on then enlighten us, where and when is this spitting incident you talk of?

How often do our fans spit at opposing fans?

Well I endured your lot gobbing back in the 70's. And our fans have reported you doing it recently.

Like I said, a punch is a punch, but spitting is dirty and cowardly.

I have nothing against the club. You entertained yesterday and will probably stay up because you can score.

And I daresay 99% of your fans are good.

But its the odd ones, like yourself coming onto our site, who spoil it for the rest.

We love our club and people are entitled to say yours is rubbish even if they can't back it up because its our site.

Why are you bothering to come on here and antagonising people? You are back in the big time. Good luck. But remember, just recently, we have had good reason to be smug despite your history.

Leeds didn't disgrace themselves and that game could've gone either way, it was just the bad judgement from the two new players that gave away two penalties. Long way to go but yesterday they didn't look out of place. Bielsaball is working but might take its toll in the winter. 🤷‍♂️. Liverpool never have less than 50% possession but they did yesterday. They certainly look streets ahead of Westham, Westbrom and Fulham.

All I would say to any Leeds fan is wait until you play West Ham, Palace, Man Utd, Wolves, Newcastle, Burnley, Sheff Utd or any other ruthless, cynical counter attacking team filled with 6ft4 fast, giant, clinical powerful players. You'll soon discover tactics, desire, work rate, technical skill and belief mean sod all when these giant athletes smother and suffocate your team and pick you apart ruthlessly on the break and on set pieces. That is what the PL is about, not performing well against good technical sides who let you play your game because they know they're better than you, it's how well you stand up to a physical onslaught from the other 12/14 teams who will blow you away with their size, pace and power that matters.

I'd be much more impressed if you somehow beat West Ham or Palace type physical hoofball team than putting in a good performance but ultimately losing against an actual footballing side. There's nothing a good manager or a team of good technical players or expensive signings can do when someone like Zaha goes on a run on the counter or one of West Hams 6ft8 players decides to blow through your whole team on a set piece.

That's what the modern PL is about. Good luck is all I'd say, I think you'll survive just about because of how well you keep and move the ball, but it's gonna be extremely hard for you and many of your fans are in for a rude awakening.

Seriously, why are these Leeds fans in here?

They used to show up once in a while but as soon as we put them back in their box they'd go missing for months on end.

Will we have to out up with this for the whole season now they're in the PL and we're not? We've had five seasons in the PL since they were last there so what is special about this one season in sixteen?

So Drayton, Lowfields and the secret lemonade drinker, if you think you're all that and want to strut about on our forum make some Leeds pledges on Ray's Funds to take part in the our forum charity effort...

They do have a fair proportion of assertive/aggressive fans. Back in the 80s I must have been bored but went on a Leicester supporters club coach to Elland road. One lad with us was a Leeds fans and broke the escort to buy a programme. He was put on his backside with a slap in seconds even when he tried to point out his Leeds tattoo rolling a sleeve up.

Our head-to-head record with Leeds United is:

P 52. W 19  D 14  L 19   F 79  A 71

So this mighty club has been unable, over its history, show itself to be superior on the pitch when playing us

As an aside they used to be known as the peacocks and still might be for all I know. That is a suitable nickname for them as their fans do indeed like to strut about making lots of noise to no effect.

Stay humble lowfields, Leeds did well last year and I guess you're still on cloud 9 about it. Leeds played well yesterday probably the best I've seen them in a long long time but they got nothing. If you play like that every week and collect points along the way then come on here and gloat if you must but its too soon to be giving it big **** just because you played well.

Exactly, Eddie. The fact is that times change and you can’t keep hanging onto what happened in the 70’s.

Historically, over the last 15 years, we have been the more successful club. That is a fact. Which is why for some time Leeds have been our feeder club. Sometimes the truth hurts (see footballing dinosaurs Ipswich), but that is what it is, the truth.

I might well be wrong, and time will tell, but I just have a feeling it’ll be us yet again that has the bigger smile on our face come the end of the season, going up stronger than before, armed with a better transfer budget. One things for sure, we will move on to the next phase of building a self sufficient club - Stuart Webber won’t be sending Daniel Farke out to battle without a gun next time, of that I’m certain.

Jesus, why have we suddenly got a few Leeds fans on here?

And more to the point, where the hell have you been the last 17 years that we have been doing a great deal better than you, often even at your expense?

You aren't a 'big club'. You used to be a big club about 40 years ago. I don't think that counts.

Now, if you could p!ss off back to your own forum which literally screams 'living in the past' (WACCOE - We Are Champions, Champions Of Europe, Christ) that would be great.

Ya boring.

Well done for the 3 points but don't get to carried away, you almost blew it against another promoted team.

But as I said, well done for the 3 points.

Keep defending like you are and you'll end up as we did, fix that and you'll be fine.

😂😂😂

You let in 3 against one of the worst teams in the league and Pukki had 4 goals after 2 Prem games.

Bamford won't get double figures.

If anything, yesterday strengthened my thoughts that Leeds will be extremely lucky to stay up.
