Only Shane Long is direct competition on a like for like basis.  The rest are more like No. 10's or wide men.  Given Long's injury record and Adam's strong performances for their U23's, given who the new manager is I can see him starting.

I don't know; Connolly, Parrott and McGoldrick are all predominantly centre forward options. Hopefully he gets a game, or at least the call-up will give him added motivation to nail down a regular place for us this season.
