Bit of an error when one set of subtitles went to four lines. Usually the rough aim is two lines of around 55 characters. Otherwise they take up too much of the screen.

The problem is that it's audience already get their fix of hate and bile elsewhere. This idiocy has the choice of trying to stay clear of becoming totally fruitcake so as to retain some advertisers - or trying to match at least what it's audience gets elsewhere, and lose any credibility, and revenue.

Events in the past week or so have shown that this type of bigotry has hit its high water mark and is now fast receding. Johnson and the ragbag of racists in his cabinet came out of the Euros very badly. Brexit continues as a damaging shambles by the week, and the so called 'freedom day' is just another example of a spineless PM governing by opinion poll.

There is no social care plan as the bloated buffoon claimed two years ago, neither is there any idea of what levelling up means, or how it is to be achieved. The fat cretin asked, yesterday, for folk to email in ideas !

The carnage in Leicester Square before the Euro final, and the subsequent chaos and total mismanagement of the ticketing at the stadium were merely a reflection of the disaster the righties, and this incompetent PM, have wrought on the country.

It will get a lot worse, I'm afraid.

Indeed! I fully expect them to go down the Fox fake news route now. They clearly can't compete with the much more sophisticated balanced news networks so there's really only this option left. They will have to gamble everything on the hope that there's enough RWNJs out there who want their gammon red flushes re-stoked each day with manufactured stories of "woke" outrages. It will be interesting to see whether Andrew Neil will be able to tolerate his journalistic career ending in such ignominy. It's hard to see how he could justify working alongside the egregious lying spiv Farage, but  I suspect he will go the minute they give a slot to Kate Hopkins (or someone similar). The same point surely holds of the likes of McCoy and any other of the career journalists brought in to lend the channel some sort of news credibility.

Why am I reminded of "The Truman Show"? Is Gammon News going to turn out to be some great parody of reality TV? Hard to explain what else accounts for the self-proclaimed bastion against "wokeness" and "cancel culture" cancelling the freedom of speech of a key journalist because of the complaints of a few racists.

I thought I read somewhere that Andrew Neil is taking a long extended holiday at his home in France, which seems strange timing to say the least - so wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if he decides to 'quietly' retire and stay there.

Difficult to comprehend what his thinking was behind getting involved such an aberration as Gammon News but whatever his rationale was at the time, he must surely realise by now that he made a gigantic mistake in ever getting involved - hubris in action, I know most Gammon News viewers don't know what it means but I'm quite sure Andrew Neil does 😂

It depends on what you want. The news or opinion. BBC, ITV, C4 Sky etc are for news. GB is for people that want their beliefs reinforced by people of the same political persuasion. It isn't news.

Now try explaining that in a coherent fashion. Are you by any chance referring to the news item following a report that established black women are 4 times more likely to die in childbirth? The BBC certainly isn't left-wing, not with this government in power. Usually, if the BBC has a political bias, it tends to be relatively softly in favour of the government of the time.
