Do explain how that constitutes a viable business model to sustain a commercially funded TV channel. One of the recent articles on it referred to above thinks it will soon be taken over to save it. Laughably, as per OFCom, it isn't a news channel, as as a 'news 'channel' it has to be impartial. Hence its really an 'opinion' channel and hence always behind the news (no 'breaking news) as per SC (never current). Andrew Neil was clearly embarrassed to be associated with it. horsefly 4,287 Posted November 13, 2021 Having attacked the RNLI, Farage has now upset the British Legion by trying to use the Poppy Appeal for his own personal gain. The only issue I have with what you have said is your use of the phrase "switch off in thousands". That presupposes that thousands were watching in the first place, and there's very little grounds for that bold claim.

The ratings very quickly tailed off. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1475261/GB-News-viewing-figures-Nigel-Farage-show-evg On July 28, Mr Farage's 7pm slot managed to attract more viewers than BBC and Sky. Mr Farage's GB News show was watched by 107,700 viewers, while BBC's Outside Source was watched by 93,300. Sky's show, Sky News Tonight, only gained the attention of 35,200 people. The 7pm slot is traditionally a low viewing slot for the main news channels as their main news is at 6pm.

A Load of Squit 5,128 Posted November 14, 2021 https://www.pressgazette.co.uk/future-of-gb-news-rupert-murdoch-andrew-neil/ According to Barb, GB News reaches around 2m adults per month for an average of 21 seconds per day. This compares with Sky News on 8.7m and an average of 1 minute 16 seconds per day, and the BBC News channel on 11.8m per month and an average of two minutes per day. Put simply, GB News currently attracts around 3% of the audience viewing time of its nearest rival – Sky News. Things seem to have fallen since that one heady day in July. Farage has lost 20,000 viewers.
