Capt. Pants 4,225 Posted August 20, 2020 Scotland's stadiums could reopen for restricted numbers of fans from 14 September - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/scotland/53849641 It doesn't say what restrictions, but hopefully will happen in England too.
Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted August 20, 2020 It will be interesting to see what happens. Their COVID figures are on the low side but have shown slight signs of picking up. Other than the big 2 most Scottish clubs get poorish crowds so a cap of 6000 per game would suit most clubs. Any more silliness by players could put the return in jeopardy. It does look as if they may be ahead of us and we must follow how they get on

KiwiScot 1,443 Posted August 21, 2020 Unsure where you got the number 6,000 from as the article does not mention anything other 700 and I believe that's for a match meant as a test. The scottish top flght is a good comparison for a lot of the English lower leagues though as often attendances do not come close to capacity so it's easier to manage. Lower league Scottish football should not be problem in this regard where attendances are in hundreds to low thousands. My local team Clyde FC have a 8,000 capacity with an avg attendance of 600-
