F.a. cup replays scrapped. League cup first four rounds are played in September, but no mention if they are two legs in the first few rounds. Although by playing each round over two days that likely.

The League Cup never has two legs in the earlier rounds. The semi-final is the only round that has two legs, but this season it's just one.

Pretty sure they did, but obviously not for a long time.

Should be interesting to see how we use the squad.

WTF. Four rounds in September. What's that potentially 10 games in a little over 3 weeks assuming 2 league games a week?

Let's hope we don't draw the binners in the League Cup, or find our U23's in the same group, as

"City have accepted an invite to enter a development squad into the EFL Trophy, which brings 16 Category One ranked academies into competition against clubs from Leagues One and Two. "

😆

Don't they rig the EFL trophy to stop that happening?

I understand we can get them in the league cup though

Yes. In the past, the EFL have avoided local derbies in the EFL Trophy group stages. Whether or not this would continue behind closed doors, or whether Ipswich-Norwich would be high risk enough, remains to be seen.
