I would imagine he's deliberately keeping a back seat, trying to learn as much as he can about the running of the club before he sticks his head above the parapet. Two of the three members of the Executive Committee have been answering fans' questions this evening, and they're the most 'in the know' about the day-to-day running of the footballing side of the club. It's their job to answer those questions.

Capt. Pants 4,092 Posted July 28, 2020 The way the world is going at the moment with C-19 he's probably just hoping he doesn't inherit a business millions in debt. Could be a poison chalice.

What would you expect them to say though? They are the majority shareholders, they employ other people to run the club. If they have any doubts/concerns then the appropriate way to discuss it is with the employees not through a public statement.

It's their job to answer those questions. Its a fair question though isn't it - he's a director but is he working full time for the club and also is he on the payroll? The accounts would suggest not (if you look at the director's pay figures) but is he therefore "working hard for the club" full time for nothing? Very admirable if so.
