Contract talks and anything related should only be done through his agent. Clubs aren’t suppose to speak to players directly about these things.

Raggert says they haven’t spoken to him ‘personally’ which suggests they have spoke to his representatives.

Does seem strange though BYG that he still wouldn't know. If his agents have spoken to the club, it's not ambiguous whether he is staying here or not.

I presume that he is surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave but it's all very odd that he would not be clear on that.

He is in an odd situation where his loan to Portsmouth went beyond the length of his contract with Norwich.

If he is that confused, maybe just ask someone. If the club were going to extend his contract they’d have needed to notify him it was happening. His agent should be helping him with this as well.

Guess the weird end of season has created a few holes which things are falling through. Norwich would normally wait until all their games are done before doing a release/retain list but that obviously couldn’t be the case this year.

If they haven't spoken to him, what's our Loan Manager been doing?     Seems very strange!

Getting ready to take over the first team again 🤷‍♂️

Very poor from us. He was never given a chance. Far better than some that have played here this year.

He's really not very good,  was the Pompey scapegoat for much of the season.

If his contract has expired, how can we possibly have an existing option to extend it?

Poor of the club no to have had conversations about whether they’re letting him go or not, although sounds like they had been having those discussions before lockdown.

Sounds like he's trying to make us out to be bad old Norwich to endeer himself to Portsmouth and get a permanent move.

Not sure why this is "very bad from us", if we haven't taken up the 12 month extension (why on earth would we?), and its now past the end date of his contract, then it doesn't take a genius to realise he's out of contract and is more than allowed to sign for Pompey.

It’s not about not taking up the extra year. It’s about treating staff properly. Either way he deserved to be told rather than be left in limbo.

Who is he better than who's played in the first team this year then?

Have we all made up our minds and cast judgement whilst only hearing one side of the story?

Why do you all believe the guy?

So you really think nobody at Norwich has talked to him about any of this?

Bad from the club to give the usual suspects a stick to beat them with.  I don’t imagine it’s a surprise to anyone, least of all the player.

Ok so hold on.

Raggett is a better player than Klose?

Have you seen their respective careers?

Portsmouth fans don't even rate Raggett @ League One level

We are starting to get a picture of how badly the players are being treated behind the scenes. Little wonder that they have stopped playing for the club since the lockdown ended

It’s astonishing that those youth players signed professional terms - they must know how dreadful life is at the club - and we are about to sign a load of others....surely someone ought to warn them.  Or perhaps you’re talking crap as per.

Deserved to be told what? He'd only be told if we were taking him up on the extension. He hasn't been told, so he's not in limbo, his contract is up. Total non story here 🤷‍♂️

Mainly the first half of the season, he had a consistent run of games and won the fans over, scored some goals too
