As long as we come back stronger than 22 others, that’ll do. Preferably 23 before anyone decides that aiming for top two lacks ambition..

HazzaJet 237 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) All I want by the end of the season is relegation for Villa, I don’t care who joins them. I reckon it will Bournemouth joining, though possibly Watford as their remaining fixtures look a bit harder Edited July 17, 2020 by HazzaJet

I also think it does matter who comes down with us, as we'll be playing them next season. Bournemouth and Villa are probably best for us, but obviously it's incredibly tough to predict how things will turn out after the summer transfer window. Agree with you there Wacky - one advantage for us next season is there will almost certainly be no Leeds and probably West Brom either in the Championship. The new squad Villa signed last summer clearly isn’t suitable for the PL, and the amount of money they spent will almost certainly force them to sell quite a few players. I don’t know much about Bournemouth/Watford/West Ham’s finances, but I do believe that Bournemouth’s squad is weaker than Watford or West Ham’s

pete 292 Posted July 17, 2020 Villa are certs but Southampton might do Bournemouth a favour the South Coast Mafia. Everton result pivotable therefore a Bournemouth win needed here but see Everton maintaing the integrity of the competition and not losing, Bournemouth down. There is no integity in the PL just money.

Bill 1,788 Posted July 17, 2020 With Watford having to play Arsenal and Man City I can't see them picking up any more points whereas B'mouth v S'ton and Everton suggest they might grab a win in one of those then it would be down to goal average, which might be in B'mouths favour by then

Capt. Pants 3,532 Posted July 17, 2020 Well that's put the pigeons amongst the cats. West Ham are safe, leaving 3 from 4. Watford have the points on the table but still to play Man City and Arsenal, whilst Bournemouth have on the beach Southampton and Everton. Villa have Arsenal and West Ham. Watford have it in their own hands but this is close.

I don’t know much about Bournemouth/Watford/West Ham’s finances, but I do believe that Bournemouth’s squad is weaker than Watford or West Ham’s West Brom won’t be that good (should they fail to go up). The team has a few loans and the squad is thin.
