Perhaps some players know they're off? Todd? Ben? Max?

The two giving everything are Onel and Emi.

Its the lack of fight, urgency, basic marking, movement in possesioon, no directness when needed, slow pace of play, and no full backs with MA and JL playing as wide midfielders. No confidence. Beginning to think the entire coaching team needs going, not one player looks anywhere near their best.

Apart from that we’re looking good 😳

If you say we don't expect to stay up and quote top 26 club, why then should the team pull up trees to be in the top 17?.....

Antonio is a half decent player but he looks like a world beater today ,shocking defending ,clueless midfield ,toothless upfront, still I guess there will be good few on here saying it's all about the project.

Klose has been epically poor since returning. Boy do we need a leader plus another with experience at CB. Hanley could be either but we seemingly can’t keep consistently him fit either.

Using the full-backs as wingers is fine if:

1) Other players cover their runs.

2) The full-backs then get a quantity ball in the box.

In our case, neither has happened enough this season.

Yes and I posted on another thread about our shape when we move up the pitch - the full backs get far too far forward too early on, meaning they actually don’t really provide an option for the centre backs to pass to and when we lose it are then caught massively out of position. That’s the tactical set up - the manager has to be drilling them to get that high up (not least because at the start of the season Lewis actually got forward very rarely and stayed tucked in - which again was presumably tactical to give us more balance but has seemingly since been abandoned).

If we had Bryam, for instance, at right back with someone similar at left back, I’m not sure we’d try and get them that far forward, and we’d probably be much more solid for it.

Alternately, Bryam cost pittance and looked like he’d be a perfectly solid prem player.

If only he wasn't so injury prone ,as he has looked good.

Onel is one of the few positives since the re-start; buy that man an Argos voucher!

Imagine putting in that 1st half and then sending the same 11 out again! This will be at least 4 conceded

£145m spent by Villa and £1m spent by us. Same outcome?

Just watched Sky Sport analyse the Villa defence. Statues like ours.

The only positive is that we've kept Moyes in his job. That'll upset the Hammers.😀

I hope that is the last time we see Klose in a Norwich Shirt and if we get serious money for any of that back four it will be a miracle...

With every game you can see millions disappearing from the youngsters likely transfer values. Tim Klose has been off the pace since his return. Weak in all aspects of his game and can only find Krul with his passing. But a good team man. Farke did not speak to his players at a drink break. A very bad sign I think.

That Farke was somewhat quiet during the drinks’s break is presumably because he is in total disbelief as to the lack of investment in the club. And who can blame him for that?

If Byram wasn’t so injury prone (not sure that’s true either is it, he just had one bad one?) we wouldn’t have been able to afford him. You have to cut your cloth...

Poor old Klose looks like an aging horse on his last legs, understandable given his injuries and number of games he's played in a short space of time.

...as for the other three quarters of our back four??....if they're worth a combined £70m odd then nobody told our goals against column

Probably sack him in pre season again. Then re-appoint him in 2021 to try and keep them up again 😆

Highland’s back! Things must be going badly.

Talk about making a political comment (Farke reacting mid game to a strategic issue😆)!

Yes that’s true, but he certainly wouldn’t have been 25 mil or whatever Webster went for. Point being, you don’t need to spend 25 mil on each of your four defenders / 100 mil in total to be able to have a defence that’s fairly solid, even at prem level.
