Official West Ham thread

Thus from Farke should be read, and the reality of it grasped by every supporter before today's game - as so many seem to forget how things looked after the 1-1 draw at poorman road, or our financial position before that summer

"When myself and Stuart (Webber) started here we had to sell our best players just to keep the club running. Without selling James Maddison to Leicester it is doubtful whether this club even had a future.

“Let’s be honest, we have more or less the same group who got us promoted.

“But now the club is financially solid, able to invest in the infrastructure and the stadium and to invest in our players and extend contracts. The experience we all have as a club at this level should help when we come back; sooner rather than later.

“For the mid - to long-term this season is a success."

We owe West Ham one today. It's arguable that the game at their place and the ”tackle” on Zimmerman was the turning point in our season.

Interesting that the non-native English speaker correctly said in the video “Stuart Webber and me”, but the Pinkun bods have changed it in the written text to the grammatically incorrect “myself and Stuart“.

Perhaps Farke could give them English lessons if he’s staying for another couple of seasons? I reckon they’d love that.

Wouldn't the correct version be 'Stuart Webber and I'...

So neither is correct

Very true. I was looking more at the use of “myself” and yourself which irritates me immensely, but should indeed be Stuart and I. Perhaps I’ll sit in on the lessons.

Delia once recommended putting chestnuts in the sprouts at Christmas. Ruined my day so I don't care if she approved your post.

I normally pick out the sprouts and just eat the chestnuts, so she’s won points from me there

I do the opposite, eat the sprouts and throw the chestnuts away (from M & S Foodstore.)

I like my Christmas's alone though.

Bah! Humbug!

No idea. I've never cooked a Christmas dinner in my life. But I assume that the then Mrs Dylan just peeled them and boiled them in the same pot. Tasted disgusting. I like sprouts and chestnuts but they taste offensive if you put them together.

Still absolutely baffled that Idah isn't starting. Saw Greenwood the other night and was amazed that one so young could play like that. If you don't give kids a chance you never find out

'tis oft the mere act of breathing itself, that wrought such ill will upon many a man

Seems to be mainly around not 'going for it' against bottom club Norwich and being too defensive.

On the face would seem like good news but out undoing isn't usually quality attacking play, it's patiently waiting for us to overcommit ourselves, sooooo....

I think if there is one think Farke has earned it's the right to be trusted on how to integrate young players into our first team.
