TeemuVanBasten 3,327 Posted July 4, 2020 (edited) What does this say about 'the project' which is apparently about bringing through our own players and becoming self sufficient, when it looks like the team and several of our players seem to have gone backwards this season? Ben Godfrey has gone from looking like the possible next Rio Ferdinand and talked about as a £40m player to looking like the new Leon Barnett. I'm not calling for Farke or Webber to leave and they both deserve the chance to get us back up next season. But what they HAVE to get right this summer is transfer business. We have to SPEND and spend well. This team needs investment. We need to come back considerably stronger than this next time. Rich T The Biscuit 562 Posted July 4, 2020 We need a plan B, we have 1 way of playing and when we are losing we have no idea about how to change the style to make the opponents think and to make them to adapt to our change. We do the same things match after match after match and we get the same result week after week. What's the phrase about stupidity.....doing the same thing but expecting a different outcome. Strolling through a Champs season playing our way was great to watch but we were playing teams that couldn't cope, every team in the PL can cope so we need to change something. That is my main criticism of Farke and Webber, they've built a team/system that worked in one league but didn't think about what happens when that doesn't work in the better league.
