Why am I not particularly surprised or upset about this?

I did think that there was some sense in Farke's reasoning behind starting the last game with Pukki on the bench ie. that, due to the build up of that player's goal drought he might have stood more chance of breaking it coming on later against tired legs.

1.However, you can't break a drought sitting on the bench.

2. His replacement was the hitherto unconvincing Drmic.

3. With more substitutions allowed there were inevitably less tired legs to exploit.

He thinks too much such men are ..... stabbing in the dark?

Re: Man U. I'm more than happy to just settle for Idah on the bench in any case. He'll have a lot more to offer our team than Drmic ever will the way things have gone with the  performances and injuries of the latter.

I suppose he has at least had his chance, having been out so much. I don't think he has taken that chance.

Idah for number 2 from now on please.

We don't wish injuries on any player, but I'd rather Idah be given a chance than Drmic any day of the season.

We would have missed him in the last two rounds.

Yup. He's been part of the FA Cup team who got us to the 1/4 final in the first place.

Had it been Rashford an understandable comment but when it's one of your own players, however unpopular, I don't really understand that at all.

I don't think wishing an injury on anyone is appropriate.

Well it’s not as though anyone would want Rashford to be seriously injured but it would be handy if he was unavailable tomorrow  😀
