Sean Raggett extends loan at Portsmouth

Recommended Posts

Coming towards the end of the 3 year deal signed when he joined in August 2017 so at 26 years old time to let go as even with our defensive woes he clearly is not rated at Colney.

Must be getting close to a place in the  Guinness Book of Records on loan apart from one year since 2012

?

Looks like he had 3 seasons away from Dover as a kid, then 4 seasons of first team football at his parent clubs, then we signed him and loaned him out again. But yeah, clearly not one for Webber and Farke.

Now this guy has been on loan that entire time. No surprises he's a Chelsea player.

No rush at all. We've likely made money on him due to loan fees and wages being covered by other clubs. On that basis a no brainer to buy him.

Are you suggesting then we give him another contract in a couple of months time when he has spent 3 years here already and hardly had a sniff if making it into the squad ?

Depends if we think that a one year extension allows us to sell him for £500k to a League 1/Championship team.

What King said really. It also depends if Raggett would be willing to sign which is unlikely if he's been talking to clubs and has an opportunity to take a nice signing-on fee if he let's his contract run down.
