Dogs - Gender Neutrals Best Friend - What's your favourite

I’ve always had German Shepherds. Wouldn’t mind an Alaskan Malamute.

Not a big dog fan - don't mind them, just have no interest in owning one.

If I were to have one, I would consider a Labrador, or Husky, but my undisputed number 1 choice would be a Tamaskan.

Look like a wolf but no wolf gene in them, they're a cross between Husky, Malamute and German Shepherd. Highly intelligent, gentle, good with kids and other dogs, friendly.

EDIT: Just seen your post @Indy - looks like this might be up your street.

Looks very much like the dog I would love. Closest thing to a wolf is a Czechoslovakian Wolfhound.

Here is Wes Hoolahan, our cockapoo.

Not quite as good on the ball as the original wes and slightly more greedy with it too but has the same low centre of gravity...and you definitely cant get the ball from him if hes in the mood...

No worries. Small ones are available too.

Haha I've never found a small dog I liked. Medium or large dogs OK. Yappy little ones are persona (Canina?) Non grata

These were my two dogs, Sasha and Rozie. Their mum was an Alsatian x Husky and nobody knew who the father was. There were 8 in the litter and they all had completely different colours and lengths of coat.

Although they were only a quarter husky they could have pulled me along in a sled!

Partial to a border terrier though never owned one.

My childhood dog was predominantly a border terrier, although crossed with something else but nobody ever knew what. Most people said a fox terrier, but some even suggested whippet, as he was basically a border terrier with a longer nose, slightly longer limbs and a more 'athletic' frame.

A proper mongrel then, like the rest  of us 🙂
Was he (at least his  BT half!) as good with kids as they say?
