BroadstairsR 2,138 Posted June 10, 2020 Funnier than my efforts. I've actually looked into this now (yes I know!) In the past it was an unsolicited telegram from the palace who were informed by the Pension Service when a person scored a century. Perhaps due to the fact that there are a lot more centurians nowadays, or for some other reason, the recipient needs to apply and gets a birthday card with a standard message from the her maj.
