Yes. 4 is FRINGE (Sonyc will claim never to have heard ot it) and 6 is ROME. Just leaves 3 and the film.

Is the film Mrs Doubtfire? I can’t make the second clue fit but a woman and fire!

I haven't 😆

Ps. And a while ago I googled Fringe!

My fuller immersion into cultural life was probably interrupted for about 18 years starting from about 1995 /1998 around the time when my lads were born. It's not as if I am a complete philistine though

At last! I think that sound I can hear is the other posters slapping their palms against their foreheads. Just leaves 3 in the TV shows. A much-praised show, although for what it's worth I think a touch over-praised. But what do I know?

How about

3 The Young and the Restless

Afraid not. I will give the answer this evening if it hasn't been worked out, and look to do another set for the weekend, with half TV for the youngsters and half old films for the baby boomers...😊

That is a fair strategy. That gives me a 10% chance I reckon 🙂

Pic of girl sucking liquid through a straw. Pic of a parliament in session. Succession.

Fringe was a sci-fi series a while back. Fringe meaning fringe science. Succession is wildly popular, about a Murdoch-like family full of infighting. Not totally convinced myself.

So films/TV from the 1980s and early '90s woukd be OKish?

No of course not, stick to your plan for a cross-poster, all age menu.

I'm actually pleased I've never heard of Fringe or Succession. #musthavegotsomeprioritiesright 😉

Keep it simple. A big X and a photo of some files for example. 😀

However cryptic and teasing the clues are, it matters little if the answers are obscure US TV programmes that no one this side of the pond have heard of, never mind watched

why not something like1970's UK tv series - not trying to high jack purple's thread so there is just the one, as a thought

ps any answers after 10pm Thur

so Watford FA Cup Final defeat hit Graham Taylor really hard... being ...220px-Director_of_Music%2C_Band_of_the_B

I must have surpassed myself... but it was that last clue that helped (which has the T initial - so I don't ruin it for others who may be looking)

It was obvious once I realised they were not in order. But a good start.

The one at the end was always going to be a giveaway - hence the mixing up, as even if you could not quite see who 3 was, 4 would be the give away

Anyone still unsure 4 is the actor Dudley Sutton - the late partner in 'crime' to Ian McShane
