Football equivalent of stamp collecting

...full sets of big matches.

An easy one to start with (if you're old enough) - who was at all four Wembley appearances?

I can only claim 85 and the playoff final; my Dad made 73 and 85 but not 75.

Bonus point for Cardiff.

Any reminiscences welcome.

All four Wembley appearances 1973, 1975, 1985 and 2015.

Millennium Stadium 2002.

Three away games in Europe Vitesse, Munich and Milan.

Two FA Cup Semi finals Villa Park and Hillsborough, both on duty in uniform as a Police Officer.

73, 75 & 15 only for me.

But then I did go to Bury in the rain and fog under Roeder. Probably that was my 'low'.

across a thread I was also at the Brum game in the FA Cup when we lost 4-0

as well as wet - hideous rain with snow still on the ground in parts

stood on the side of the pitch 9terrace)  and my feet ached as the coach heater finally thawed them on the way home

awful day

I was 20 in 1985. I was about as ill as I have ever been (equaled only by the Inter Milan home leg) with a flu-like illness which lasted two weeks. I was on a coach with my Dad and his Barclays Bank colleagues. Some concern as there were so many coaches going that the traffic might have prevented people getting there - it was a bit tight for us time-wise. I think it wasn't a popular final for neutrals so lots more Norwich and Sunderland fans had tickets than expected. Massive traffic queues in London, with some "lads" (old enough to know better) on the coach in front hopping out to empty the recycled beer into the front gardens of unfortunate locals to the tune of "we'll be running round Wembley with our...". The Barclays Bank coach displayed rather more decorum. My Dad and I were River End Terrace season ticket holders, and I would have preferred the terrace experience but he had got seat tickets, although probably for the best as I wasn't on top form. You know the rest.

It was a League game not FA Cup.

I stand corrected - we lost 3-0 at home to Hull which I watched sat on the terraces with loads of space in the Barclay/south Stand

went to around 12 games that season as a kid - mascot coaches from dere'um

but my mistake re Brum ☹️

Wembley 1985 and 2015 (one was my sister's birthday, and the other was my Mum's birthday)

Cardiff 2002

Vitesse away (couldn't afford further away excursions after that, but always wanted to be at our 1st ever European away game)

85  both Semis vs Binners

89 Semi vs Everton

Had to work (alongside a Sunderland fan!) in 92, so missed that

Midland, I was also at Leicester for the 4-1. That was a big game in League terms

Grimsby away (Q/F) in 85 felt huge at the time, We dared to dream at that point

Winning at Liverpool (2-0) in 83 felt awesome as well.

Not forgetting 3-2 at Portman Road in 82. First time I had seen us win there, felt mahoosive!

All the Wembley ones plus Cardiff, never forgiven Worthington for making that substitution at a free kick, and don’t get me started about the penalties
