Let's all do the pools week 6

Recommended Posts

Greetings PUPPPs. Great picking last weekend with us getting most of the draws in our picks. But even then we need a huge slice of luck to transfer that to the final 11. But if we keep getting around the target we could fall lucky one week soon. But remember that being here doing what we do is the reason we raise so much money. What we win is the icing on the cake.

Don't forget these threads are open to all and you just need to...

  • Choose one match that you think will end in a score draw.
  • The matches obviously aren't played but there is a Pools Panel who judge what the outcome would have been.
  • Any money won will go to the CSF like with the usual Rays Funds.
  • This is kindly financed by our anonymous benefactor PUPanon and open to all posters from any part of this message board.
  • We also have a competition between ourselves for who wins the most points from their picks

This week's 11 will be chosen by top PUP PurpleCanary on Friday evening. Purple is also going to take up PUPanon's kind offer and try to pick a winning line from the real games being played this weekend. Good luck and here are this week's matches...

Thanks to all who posted suggestions for the treble chance. Having channelled the spirit of Horace Batchelor I am going with:

Stoke vs Brentford

Swansea vs Bristol City

Hull vs Luton

Leyton Orient vs Exeter

Spurs vs Arsenal

Watford vs Newcastle

Mansfield vs Crawley

Charlton vs Wigan

Plymouth vs Port Vale

Dagenham vs Chesterfield

Newport County vs Northampton (my pick)

-

For the accumulator:

Turkmenistan – KOPETDAG ASGABAT to draw with AHAL

Tajikistan - FAYZKAND to win at home to Istaravshan

Taiwan – TAIPEI CITY to win at home to Taipei Red Lions

Taiwan – TAIPOWER to win away at Ming Chuan University

Belarus – SLUTSK to win at home to Belsina

Turkmenistan – ASGABAT to win at home to Nebitci

-

Nutty has promised to find a tenner down the back of some piece of furniture to bankroll a match bet, and I have chosen the Torpedo BelAZ vs Ruh Brest game in Belarus on Sunday, with £2 on each bet:

Gorbachik anytime goalscorer

Ramos anytime goalscorer

Torpedo to win by one goal

HT/FT Torpedo/Torpedo

Torpedo to win to nil

Thanks Purple. This is a little bit like old times with a match bet as well as an acca. And of course the pools. It's not as easy putting them on because I'm not so sure what I'm doing. Some names look different so please check I got them right.

I've put the coupon on. I'm sure Horace Batchelor would approve of your selections. (More on Horace at the end!)

This is what we have : -

Thanks for the Acca. I've used Bet365 because they were on there and the potential return is £232.76 as opposed to £161.01 on Paddypower.  I need you to check it carefully although I think it must be right. Taiwan Steel is Taiwan City? Here are the details : -

And it's great to have a match bet back! I put those on with Bet 365 too. Here are those details : -

It will be great to have a game to follow once more.

The very best of British Purple and all you PUPPPs🤞🍀👍

Here's Horace....

Hi nutty. Thanks for all that, and getting the better odds. Yes, there are some variants on the names, but you've got them. Taiwan City is Taiwan Steel, and in the last selection UKSoccerway had a very different name for FC Asgabat's opponents to that Paddy Power was using but it must be the same match. Matches 2 and 3 are tomorrow and the rest on Sunday.
