A Load of Squit 5,116 Posted April 4, 2020 As we have no sport this is what I'm reminded of. Growing up in the olden days Saturday afternoon consisted of going to the football or staying home and watching sport on the TV. During days when there was bad weather they would fill the time showing film of old events billed as 'another chance to see'. Even in those days they could show indoor events, usually a table-tennis tournament. ITV always had the wrestling on at 4 until the football results came in, you knew the results were coming when Kent Walton said 'That's all wrestling fans, have a good week, until next week!'. Then we had the excitement of the teleprinter! If a team have scored a large amount of goals they would validate the number by re-iterating it in text, for example Ipswich Town 1 Norwich City 5 (FIVE).
