nevermind, neoliberalism has had it

should prisoners be let free?

Recommended Posts

This issue is foisting a lively discussion at present, and despite the now downgraded coronavirus ( it is not classified as a High Consequence Infectious disease anymore since 19.03.) causing havoc among officers and prisoners alike, such a move has not stopped the judge with no history or picture present online, the secret Apartheid judge as I call her, Mrs. Baraitser, saw it fit to keep remand prisoner  journalist and publisher Julian Assange in a high security terrorist prison.

His bail application was refused yesterday without any references to any crime he committed in this country, merely on the revenge charges by a US cabal wanting his head for publicising war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. She ought to be fed to the fishes.

Yes. All of them.

Unless there is a plan for keeping the worst 10% and spreading them around with proper distancing.

Yes of course they should all should be set free. And those in need should be given a free house with a 50' TV, Netflix subscription  and all mod cons including free wifi. They should be paid a full weekly salary - not this 80% lark. And a hotline where they can call to have their drug of choice delivered to their homes.

Go read up about the 1918-19 pandemic and then come back and answer this question again.

No.

It's an ideal environment to get people killed. Unless they are housed in single cells that is.

Prisons, hospitals and military barracks / transport ships all major disease vectors in 1918 - 19

Does seem a bit paradoxical to talk of freeing prisoners, and I get your stance Surfer, when so many are now prisoners in their own homes.

The line where to draw releasing some prisoners for humanity sake in this crisis could be the waviest one of them all.

When they find out they’ve got to spend three months isolating with the missus and kids they might decide to stay locked up and take their chances.... (joke by the way)

Remember US troop ships being a 1918 flu vector comment?  - well it's happening again in 2020.

Talk of releasing prisoners. 8 people were sentenced to custodials yesterday at Truro Crown Court. Why? Two were paedophiles so the public has to be protected but there is little point in putting tea leafs inside. Shops aren't open and most people are at home.

Well we have an update and this is not going down well... maybe military families will finally turn on the President, his administration and Republicans if they replay 1918 with the troops.

I understood the Republican Governor was going to rescue any Floridians on the ship. Trump said he was doing what was right.

Obviously Far Right
