Sunday - A WARNING !

Recommended Posts

A few words of advice for sunday.

Some of you may find yourself in the pub in sat with a binner or two. If so please -

1. Do not laugh if he speaks with an accent that sounds like Jamie Oliver doing an impression of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. He is trying to impress you with his belief that sar-falk people speak with a different accent.

2. If he starts to tell you about their ''glorious history'' do remember to get up and stretch your legs occasionallyto avoid deep vein thrombosis. He will still be running on when you get back so don''t worry. Pinching your skin can help.

3. Try to keep a straight face if he mentions David Sheepshanks. Mr Sheepshanks is a businessman after all - as they repeatedly reminded us a few years back.

4. It is about £35,000 plus a week in interest payments if asked about their debt. Best to try an avoid the subject. The loan has "all been finaced" or so we were told.

5 Ipswich has many notable attractions so it would be better to discuss those rather than castles and cathedrals, airports and universities. Perhaps TV stations or the Keith Deller Museum of Famous Town fans (open 2nd Tues in the month 2-4pm)

6. Do not pat him on the head and say "of course" or fall asleep when halfway through a story of how Ipswich is everyone''s second favourite club.

Isn''t that spikey barnet 80''s 2 hit wonder Popster - Nik ''vertically challenged'' Kershaw a Sooforkanarian? Cosy little fellah.......Yep, him and Keef Dellar are about the only..........er..........famous..........er...........famous-ish celebredeeeees to come from there. Anyone know any other celebrideeeees from Ips*it? Just wonderin'' where their recent financial ''backer'' has gone? And If they gave him his ''used notes'' money back?

I should be able to see "Ruddy faced Sheepshearer" from where I sit, it was fantastic when we beat em 2 seasons ago, watching his face get redder, redder and redder, redder and BANG!  Just like that 80''s film ''Scanners''......Oh! I''m so lookin'' forward to Sunday! C''mon CITY! ;~)

" Surely, Ruel Fox came from you-know-where! "

Certainly did. But quickly saw the light and headed north..

It ''s that fans that deserve the mocking.

" Oh, My old man''s a binman

He think''s he''s a cockney chap

He says gawd blimey guvernor

And he talks a load of crap "
