250 ,000 volunteers

Recommended Posts

The Secretary has ask for 250.000 volunteers to assists the NHS , which is great but will this not have the potential to spread the virus  too.

especially if PPE is in short supply and these volunteers will not be given the same priorities as the front line staff

I think this is only a temporary measure until the 50,000 new nurses 'come online ........sometime around Easter I believe

However I think the idea is to help with non medical work which frees up NHS workers from that by delivering medicines, supplies etc Delivering food and support to those isolating

Seems reasonably sensible and if coordinated by the armed forces who have centuries of experience in the logistical side of things it should provide a large pool of helpers to be called on as and where needed

LDV ............. Let's defeat Virus, which could become the Home Giard who will patrol from Timothy Whites to the Novelty rock emporium to stop the elderly from wandering outside of their garden

🎶  We'll do your bidding, Mr Hancock....🎶

Hope general nurses are paid more fairly than their equivalents in mental health. We get no overtime and if you work any hours over your contracted 37.5 you are paid at a lower hourly  rate .

You wouldn’t think that would happen in the NHS but it most certainly does here in the midlands.

Blimey, 170,000 signed up over night

I wonder if there will be enough broom handles to go round
