It may have been changed recently after you read it or you may have misread it, but what it says now is:Cameron Jerome is a player remembered fondly in these parts for becoming the first City player to net a goal at Wembley, with the Canaries victory in the Milk Cup arriving courtesy of an own goal. GenerationA47 737 Posted March 22, 2020 (edited) Admittedly a strange non sequitur of a sentence, out of context ! But no weird apostrophes’.. so I’m not complaining.. Edited March 22, 2020 by GenerationA47 Spelling

If you replace 'the Canaries' with 'Norwich', the sentence reads: 'Cameron Jerome is a player remembered fondly in these parts for becoming the first City player to net a goal at Wembley, with Norwich victory in the Milk Cup arriving courtesy of an own goal.' Surely that needs an apostrophe?
Myra Hawtree 124 Posted March 22, 2020 I get it now. First player to actually score at Wembley as Milk Cup goal was an own goal. Didn’t come over like that though!
