Thanks Barry, no I live in the City and they gave me a choice of three medical centres, Fishergate, Lionwood or Bowthorpe. I didn't get a letter Barry, my medical practice phoned me this afternoon and made the appointment for me. I wondered if they were filling in gaps as they run out of the over 80's. It is not just about supply but none of these guys wether they are in a gp surgery or a hub will allow any of this to go to waste. Where I have been they heard today they were getting a small delivery tomorrow night, so they now have to arrange 600 appointments and get it administered by Friday night. 'Vaccines arrive with only a few hours notice to find patients' Doctors giving Covid vaccinations say it has been "challenging" when deliveries of the jab arrived with only a few hours' notice. The centre has been set up at the JCB factory in Rocester, near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire by several GP practices in Cheadle. The medics say they can get through about 900 jabs a day but Dr David Yates told the BBC they often get about 12 hours' notice of new stocks arriving. "Yesterday we suddenly got told we had 900 vaccines, which is a whole other batch of the Pfizer ones," he said.
