hopefully there won't be too many cars around as it can be a bit hairy between Kelling and Cley

but it'll be good to get a bit of fresh air, and a long exercise

Billy might see a few waves when he nips down to Salthouse beach.👍

That is very good news indeed. I have felt (like very many people) that we may have timed things wrong but I would be delighted if we don't get another wave. It would mean we could be getting towards the end of it even with social distancing continuing.

Meant to add that C19 has a lag time with it

What has Sturgeon angered the gammon army with now?

Anyway, Marina Hyde is on brilliant form again. Worth a good read.

Good luck with that. With this Northerly airflow you'll end up cycling along the B1145 - the "secret road" beloved by many.

I think you probably mean the metrics have a lag, rather than the virus it's self. Infectious for 10 days, 20 days from infection to death roughly so metric wise we are looking at the consequences of mid-April now and we will not see the consequences of the shambolic restart until mid-June (just in time for the restart of football).

Read her piece last night. She is someone who is the sharpest of knives in the knife draw. She gets to the heart of a story and particularly anyone with a front or showing dishonesty or a sense of entitlement. She skewered Corbyn before and rightly and now Johnson. Her humour is dark, wicked.

It's voices like hers that are important. There aren't too many around. We are living through such a pivotal point in history and it's all going on in front of our eyes in our government. It is difficult to grasp (for the lay person like me) and accommodate ALL the meanings underneath what we are seeing because we select according to our confirmation bias. Journalists like Hyde help to expose hypocrisy.

Well researched.

It when you realize who's actually in the government you have to have real sympathy for the experts.

Classicists and humanities ... hardly an engineer or scientist between them - and in that is the root of all the UK's long term problems.

Can you imagine the conversation ... let's start by explaining exponential growth...

Typical FB fare I believe.

Whitty is a decent sort, well qualified indeed. It's the characters in the current cabinet making decisions and responding to events that seem less suited.

I saw one in the mirror as I was driving down to the beach................he was a wizened old man on a bike, he almost fell off when he tried to adjust his mask, as he was slowly going around the bend.😃

Saving Marina for a quiet moment later in the day, maybe a glass of vino and canapes for our little tete a tete.

That's the thing. Whitty is giving advice but how much of the advice is being used. Is following the science just another meaningless three word slogan which this government are brilliant at.

Looks like he is back and called in at the off licence before he starts posting tonight which probably explains a lot.
