You’d think he can’t last too much longer...just a few more weeks ought to be enough for them to be completely out of the play-off chase.

They seem to be already out of a play-off chance what with a points deficit, games in hand of their rivals, Lambert as manager and a poor team on a very bad run.

It really couldn't be worse.

Odd, isn't it? So successful here but failed everywhere else. Another demonstration of why forecasting the outcome of anything involving human beings is so difficult.

It's clear now that Ian Culverhouse was actually the mastermind behind our success combined with the fact that we had top Championship players playing in League One... then as we went up, we got ourselves into a forward roll.

3  year purple parch at City followed by abject failure at any other club he has been employed.  Should have stayed put until he failed here which was not inevitable at the time.  Surely the end of PL as manager/coach.

He had some success before he came to us to be fair. He, Culverhouse and Karsa were good with lower league players - Culverhouse who could coach them well and Lambert as the figurehead with the positive mantras.....am I right he didn't do much on the training pitch, if anything, only having his input on the day before the match?

They reached their peak with us and their style at Villa simply wasn't tolerated by the egos there.  He now looks a bit lost (has done since he left us tbh) -  a figurehead without the right assistant.  A Clough without his Taylor if you like. Water under the bridge for us, but how ironic he has ended up where he has.

Part of me still wishes him well and that he can recover his career somewhere else, but he has burnt his bridges with us. Shame after those three glorious years.
