Feedthewolf 4,789 Posted February 8, 2020 Outstanding thread. At the moment I'm on a real health kick, so I go with big sushi, little sushi, green smoothie. When I'm being a tubby lad, it's a New York Deli sanger, with the spiciest Walkers Max I can find, and an iced coffee.
Aggy 739 Posted February 8, 2020 Boots meal deal - extra 29p but there’s much more choice - lots of the stuff not included at Tesco is included at Boots, especially the drinks.

Don't rate them that highly. Morrisons' £3 meal deal also includes a medium salad from their salad bar as a main, which is really decent.

Like the sound of that meal deal mind.

The variety in the salad is top-notch; you can have cold hard boilers, falafel, onion bhajis, BBQ pulled jackfruit, plus a ton of pasta options. Couple it with a large vegetable samosa for a snack and a Jimmy's Farm iced coffee, and you're onto a winner.

Always worries me about morrisons and the salad boxes, those dirty people who shop there might have been dipping fingers into the salad.

This. I work in London quite a lot and obviously you can easily spend a bit ridiculous amount on what is basically a sandwich if you nip out at lunchtime. For what they offer, Boots is outstanding value. Sometimes I pick just by the most expensive items - it’s possible to get close to what would individually cost £10 for the £3.50 deal. Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 997 Posted February 8, 2020 Co Op are a little pricey but then you are paying for convenience, I live in a small market town and our Co op is open from 07:00 to 22:00 every day.

If you’re on a health kick to lose weight, or even if not, watch those smoothies. Most have a similar amount of sugar to full fat Coke.

I’ve got a Co-op card, and only use them for the odd small shop, a newspaper and the occasional sandwich, but regularly find I’ve got £10-odd due back on the card. Which compensates for the higher prices a little.

You won’t believe this but I can’t have an opinion due to never having butter or low fat spreads on bread.
