Not good enough

Recommended Posts

Last night was not the end of Farke but it was the beginning of the end of Farke

brighter times are ahead under a more competent coach we need to let nature take its course , the fans will turn soon enough

we can then all look forward to a brighter future under Chris Hughton

Your post is. It was a great effort to get back into the match and for a spell Spurs were reeling. Unlucky.

Take the rose tinted specs off LDC. Norwich City are bottom of the league for a reason. Quite simple really, they are not good enough, and have a manager and sporting director who are quite clearly out of their depth. They are both culpable. They both knew last season we had the poorest defence in the league. They take a side up to the next level. And other than Byram leave a defence that leaks goals it as it is!

It doesn’t matter whether the manager  plays Hanley, Annadou, Tettey, Klose, Godfrey, or Uncle Tom Cobley at CB, the same mistakes are made week after week!

There just is no quality in the current side whatsoever to compete at the level required of the premiership and Norwich will be relegated. As for having spurs reeling, how many points did that bring?

What is in your red and and my blue text has been proven to be obviously true, as for the rest the club said they were promoted a season too soon and so there are other issues at play than what you are pointing out.

Spurs got lucky with their winner, granted, but we're not unlucky to be bottom of the league after 24 games. We're giving it our all, but we're just not good enough for this level.

Just because we are bottom doesn't mean we can no longer recognise individual games for what they are. Spurs got lucky when Ali's shot deflected for Son to score. Spurs got lucky when Rupp's shot was deflected just past the post. Fine margins which could have ended 2-1 to either side.

If we ultimately aren't good enough then we will be relegated. We were good enough to get a result last night. If only a draw.

Sure, I don't disagree with anything you've said there Eddie. But luck has a way of balancing itself out over the course of the season, and there have been many games where we've played as well as our opponents but have still lost. Take any number of games individually and we could claim to have been 'unlucky' not to get something, but when you take the season en bloc then it enables us to identify repeating patterns.

Happy with that buddy. We should get the sunny side of VAR shining down on us for the last third of the season. Could be the difference👍

Well if last night is anything to go by, our luck has certainly started to turn on that front! 🙂
