You can be booked for dissent and getting all ul in the refs face regardless of whether the ball is in play. You can also be sent off for a period after the game. Otherwise, you could just kick off whenever you wanted, provided the ball wasnt in play... He showed a lack of respect for an official. That's always a booking. He has to know that VAR is looking at everything. Why attack the referee? If hes innocent, it will become clear soon. Either way, their is just no excuse for acting like that, at all. Hes an adult, the occasion is entirely irrelevant. He is an adult. That's why this offence is a booking. Also, 'shouting the loudest' is not going to get you anything.
