That's right up there with " local businesses looking forward to the economic benefits if xxxx get promoted " These are marketing messages, the latter benefit does not exist, the former comment lacks any context - yes your revenue increases but so does your costs; and massively so in most cases. I have no idea. I'm not as obsessed with figures and what we do and don't have as some. We need the finance whizzes AGAIN! 🤣 All I can assume is that we were still paying off wages for some high earners, wouldn't have received all the money yet for sales of players, wages this season would have increased, along with money spent on loans and their wages etc. I really don't know for sure.
