Villa fall foul of VAR

Recommended Posts

Sky Sports tell you all about the goal and after the adverts announce VAR ruled it out after a 3 minute delay ! Bonkers.

FFS. It's absolute nonsense.

Shorter studs and he would have got away with it.😀

I genuinely thought that, at the very least, they would tone down use of VAR for a couple of games to take the heat off after the pandemonium of the last round of games.

It would appear not. VAR has the same presence in English football as when Donald Trump actually got elected.

What a nonsense.

That's ridiculous. To be honest, as much as it's a pain for clubs, ourselves included, the more VAR is collectively shown to **** up at the minute, the better, as every incident of this nature hurts VAR more.

That’s pathetic.

Surely no one (including those implementing these crazy decisions during the games) agree or want football reduced to this.

So just get off your ****, change the rules (there’s been plenty of ideas, all of which are better than the mayhem and chaos occurring at the moment) and give the fans their football back.

They have made a rod for their own backs but you can't change the rule halfway through the season.

Truly ridiculous. Trouble is that those responsible for introducing this farce are too embarrassed to face the music and will want things to quieten down before they admit their mistake.

Blimey...wouldnt bank on any help from Burnley today, look like theyre still in bed

Your right Burnley are still on the **** from last night , they look dreadful and disinterested, i hope Dyche gives them a good kick up the **** . The problem is unlike us when we dominate  Villa are 2 up and that will be hard for Burnley to pull that back.

Had a nose at the Claret's forum and apparently the locals have been fed up with Dyche's style of play, tactics and not freshening up an ageing squad, they've been woeful for much of the season which only makes our meek loss to them even more galling.

To be fair you probably can if the governing body have told you you're repeatedly implementing it incorrectly and theoretically creating your own rules.

We are not talking about the rules of football though. We are talking about the rules of VAR. And surely they can be altered to make sure it doesn't happen again. What has happened so far shouldn't detract from putting it right now.

Unfortunately it should never be about what the other teams do but in this case, just as we look like getting something, the target moves further away again.

I thought much earlier on they had changed one of the interpretations, which shouldn't have happened. One you have started the season with one interpretation you have to stick with it, no matter how stupid.

But if they changed this offside interpretation now I am sure they would be hit with law suits from aggrieved clubs such as ourselves. These idiots have got themselves into a real mess, with clubs and fans the victims.

That scoreline is going to pile even more pressure on us.

I dont think it really matters we need to start winning and picking up 3 points and not 1 and nil from now on in regardless what other teams do. If we manage that then the rest should look after itself

Burnley look gash and their next 4 games are Chelsea, Leicester, Manure and Arsenal.. I know their a fair distance from us (lets face it most of the teams are) but they could get sucked into the mire

The only points total we need to think about is that of the club in 17th place.

Westham v Bournemouth today so one or both of them will pick up points.

It's obviously all about what we do but we're gonna have to rely on other teams too in view of the deficit.
