Jerome

Recommended Posts

Now that Ashton has gone, and we have been widely linked with a move for Jerome, how likely do you think it is that we will buy him before the end of the window?

He would be a good replacement and still leave money for the rest of the team to be rebuilt in the summer for a promotion push next season

not sure jerome is the answer northern. 3m plus is a ton of money a young player. besides, he''s a pacy striker who runs onto through balls and not a target man isn''t he? he won''t fit easily into worthy''s style of play, unless playing off a target man like thorne.

Well knowing what city''s prudence with prudence concept, and what Worthington is like, I''m sure we''ll sign 2 central midfielders![*-)]

Jerome would be a good signing. Using the 5 million transfer money freed up from Dean Ashton''s sale we could also buy Koumas from WBA. If the board gives Worthy the money...

Agreed, Premier1. The problem for the club now is

1. who have we got (apart from Hucks) to entice other players into thinking it''s worth coming here (Green''s sure to be off soon, and WLY in the summer...)?  and

2. who would believe that we have any interest or capability in being a premiership side?

Let''s start now at the top - with a complete clear-out of the stables from Worthless downwards.  It''s not just the fans who need to be persuaded we''re serious - it''s would-be transfers-in too, IMO.

Northern , Sam Hamam said it would take £3.5 million to get him , he would not sell him to a Championship club so its very unlikely he will be coming here .All we are going to attract now is young players from the lower leagues or old over the hill jouneymen . The Premiership high life has come to an end its back to the good old mid table mediocrity.
