Norwich v Wolves

Recommended Posts

No way Emi deserved to be on the losing side today.

No excuses for that defeat today  Farke at fault, Woeful game management, as seen in his first season.  We should have won that game 99 times out of 100.

Devastating loss. It’s all very well playing teams of the park with some stunning football but you’ve got to take advantage of it when on top. Should have been all 3 points in the bag before half time. Second half we haven’t done anywhere near enough and the changes should have come far earlier. Villa is a game where we must pick up all 3 points now or we will be cut adrift. This league is ruthless but unfortunately we are not

Wolves much better in the second half and perhaps deserved to win the half. But on balance I still think we should have won that game.

Whoever said 'It's a game of two halves' is proved correct over and over again.

Can we simply say we were unlucky in that game? Tettey's effort could easily have gone in. Pukki usually does better with those kinds of chances - his injury playing a part? Or does this game simply prove we are making critical mistakes that mean we lose games we should be winning?

Time to bring in a specialist defensive coach in January to work alongside Farke?

Been saying that for the last 5 years.  If they haven't sorted it out in that time they've only got themselves to blame. It's been a perennial problem for Norwich, no matter who the coach has been.

Didnt Newcastle get Mark Lawrenson in to do that once and fail miserably?

We are failing miserably now. Something needs to change in the defensive department.

We wouldn’t be bringin* in Lawrenson, that’s for sure.

So frustrating, why can we not hold on to leads at home? We need to learn game management at this level fast. We were very good at it last year.

****ing Farke… always coming, never changes it.

**** off.

I'm frustrated too, but if you actually blame farke for the players not putting away the 8 good chances we had, I think you need a little time out.

Game of missed opportunities in first half. Should of been 3 or 4 up at HT. Subs too late, Todd was poor except his excellent finish. Zimmbo 'passing was awful but on a brighter note Emi added considerable value to his stock with a superb game. Delia will be happy.

Smaller, newly-promoted sides that survive are generally very good at grinding out results and have strong character to get points when they're under pressure. This team seems completely the opposite- they play very well and just crumble as soon as the opposition start to apply pressure.

The problem today was that we were visibly tiring at around the 60th minute. We needed a midfield change at the hour mark to keep things fresh and the tempo going. Farke mistake imo, but on the positive side we are a match for anyone when on song.

Disagree, Tood played well on my television. Threat going forward and tracked back well to cover Traore.

Really gutting to play so well first half and still lose. We should have been home and hosed hy half time.

The latter. But I'd say it's more a lack of character than critical mistakes.

But even when we are on song, we seem so fragile mentally.

This looking less likely by the week

Ipswich are about to be caught and will be one of about 5/6 teams battling to compete in the play offs. It won't be easy for them. I doubt we will be in the same league next year.

Urghhh. Real disappointment again.

However good some spells of play are, conceding an average of 2 goals a game is only ever going to end with us coming up short. It's just not going to happen for us this time.

They're 19th in form table. Natives are getting restless. 1 win in 6 and Chambers off with a straight red today.

I cant remember who we were playing where Hernandez had the freedom of the left wing up against a defence with no proper fullbacks, but having seen Hernandez do that, for me the biggest error was not having Hernandez on in place of McLean. McLean was decent, but Hernandez either on as a sub or starting would have made a big difference, especially as the fullback is Byram, who as a natural right back wont be providing quite the same width as Lewis.

Hernandez came on in the end far too late and at a stage where we were not dominant. Wolves were always going to chase the game and having him as a danger on the counter would have been tactically useful. McLean is a bit of an all rounder, he doenst really offer you exceptional attributes in any area. Onel, very different. Cantwell doesnt need to be on the left, he is far more suited to a central role. Im not knocking McLean, I just dont see what he offers in that position as opposed to Hernandez or Cantwell.

Farke needs to sort out the defending at set pieces. It seems to be our undoing every week, yet we seem not to be improving here, week after week. I couldnt see that we were necessarily marking zonally as usual, but I dont understand why we persist with it when it fails week after week.

I think this game shows why we are going down. Arguably the best first half of the season. Yet we cant put the game to bed and our soft underbelly always gives poor teams (or rather teams performing badly) a get out of jail card.

Im not angry, I've given up on this season, and Im not too depressed with that, its just being realistic, I think our model means relegation is likely. But when we play such great football it is heartbreaking to not be rewarded for it

When you have to grind out a result Cantwell simply isn’t any good at it

in fact he ain’t got at much to be honest

how much longer must we endure the unendurable, deal with the undealable and accept the unacceptable

Well you have to say the bottom 3 as it stands are all doomed. I cant see either team getting out of this mess. Watford cant score , we cant defend, and Viila are falling like a rock .

Quoting as cant react any more. Todd had a very good game imo. High work rate, decent distribution and composed finish for the goal. Strong as well. Physically he has made a massive leap this season

So what precisely are you good at? It's certainly not trolling. Poor effort. 2/10
