Norwich v Wolves

Recommended Posts

Apparently, and I did not know this, in the 11 games where Zimbo and Hanley have played together at CB, we have only lost ONCE. Interesting stat...

Started well. Tettey and Trybull doing well protecting the defence and providing the link play to Cantwell and Buendia.  So unlucky for Tettey's effort. C'mon Norwich.

Stunning half. Absolutely dominated it. The only criticism would be that this should already be out of wolves reach

Emi is on fire. Most important player in our team?

He's been magnificent. Best player that half by a country mile. But we really should be 3 up.

If we go on to not win this game I'll be absolutely gutted. Should've been out of sight. No way Wolves will be as bad 2nd half.

We should be 3 up here.  Awesome first half - lots of chances created as we are bossing the middle of the park.  Emi has been unplayable and Todd has been awesome, tracking back and winning balls. Great first half COYY.

Emi has been outrageously good thus far. Some of the football we are playing at times is from another planet! A travesty if we don’t go on and claim the 3 points today, keep it going City 🙏

Emi back to his best. He’s been unplayable today. Embarrassed most of their team. We could easily be 4 or 5 up. Hope those missed chances don’t come back to bite us.

Hernandez would rip this wolves team a new one so good option for us to have if emi or Todd tire

Looking good. Common Teemu toe poke one of your chances. Buendia playing great. More of those trademark thru balls second half.

What a great half. Played them off the park. So far Newcastle have put in the poorest performance a opposition in my opinion but that first half from Wolves was absolutely dire. No doubt they'll turn up secnd half but we've wiped the floor with them in that first half. We need to ensure we dont do a Sheffield Utd and make sure we come back out after the break, as Im sure Wolves will come out of the traps like Sheffield Utd did. But great half, first to every ball, high work-rate, Tettey unlucky, Pukki on another day could have had a hat-trick, all Pukki-type chances too. Buendia having a good game, Hanley vital in the Cantwell goal. Byram doing well against Traore. We look like a side that has done its homework and is up for it. We need to make sure the same team comes out.

Not that Id change anything, but last time we played against a team without fullbacks, Hernandez absolutely murdered them. If Wolves keep the same formation but we find things going less our way 2nd half, he could do very well down that left flank

Indeed. We havent had the goals our dominance deserves, and we usually gift the opposition a soft one to undo all our hard work. I thought Zimmermanns unforced corner was it. Just waiting for it sadly. After that half it would be really depressing to not see it through. Wolves are normally a very good side though and they are underperforming. If they get their act together second half they have the players to produce something from nothing, and all our good work that half goes out of the window. We must not do what we did against the Blades

Grrr. If Max had stayed on the post that wouldnt be a goal. I know they were trying to get out, but still. Max had done very well earlier on the previous break away. Noted he saw the runner and sped up to stay goalside. Earlier in the season he would have let the runner go
