The Great Mass Debater

How much do we spend in January? Do we try to save the season?

Part of it is the coaching. We persist with zonal marking because Farke says we haven't got the p[layers to play otherwise. Zonal marking is getting us torn apart, and yet in the summer, with a defence that regularly gifted goals, we did nothing to buy players of more height, strength to build on a championship winning team, that could move away from zonal marking.

But it's not a coaching thing when we continue to gift the opposition goals, even when we're in a strong position. It's a mental thing and we're crumbling every single game now.

Probably too late when Jan comes round....but.... a centre half is clearly still a must as Klose is out for the season and Hanley is both permenatly unfit and/or not good enough....we're still one injury away from having to play amadou or tettey at centre half

Wew lost a match, that's all. It's going to happen in this league and as disappointing as it was, Sheff Utd have one of the best away records in the league.  Money/January panic buys will not help much.

We've lost 11 out of 16.

Open your eyes will you.

Agree with those posters regarding the chances of our young starlets moving having failed to provide any evidence they are capable in this league.  They ought to shine as beacons in a poor team but they are not.  Buendia has been the best example of one who hasn't shown any PL quality to date in fact has looked more of a liability e.g. Watford.

Lakey obviously hasn't watched Wednesday first half and Today's second.

Next season we need to start to buy some decent English registered players not like Husband and Marshall to meet EFL rules.

Other teams might see enough potential in them to snap them up, they may blossom in a better team surrounded by better players.....

Summer transfer window is the time to invest in players when the team is on the up. If we haven't improved on the pitch by the middle of January we'll just be plugging holes in a ship that has more leaks than plugs.
