Thirsty Lizard 3,085 Posted December 3, 2019 (edited) A few weeks ago there seemed to be endless posts on here moaning and whinging about a supposed lack of a 'Plan B', irrespective of the fact that we had so many injuries that just getting 11 fit players out on the pitch was a real struggle. Now that the injury crisis has mercifully eased Daniel Farke has given another demonstration of just what an excellent coach and tactician he is. Now of course, finally having two fit central defenders has been a huge help, but it's in the midfield positions that Plan B has been implemented. Farke has gone for extra defensive steel and nous in the form of Trybull, Tettey and Amadou. If someone had told us at the beginning of the season that the creative talents of Buendia, Vrancic, Stiepermann and Leitner would all be fit and available, but none of them would be making the starting 11 I think a lot of people would have been up in arms in complaint. Similarly, very few people have been advocating that McLean be played in the Number 10 role, but Farke has played him there and he has been superb there in the last two games. Plan A is dead! Long live Plan B!! Edited December 3, 2019 by Thirsty Lizard 4

Ssshhhhhhh Mr Wolf - we don't want Southampton to know about our cunning plan of playing Zimmermann and Fahrmann up front tomorrow night.
