The implementation of VAR has been pretty farcical; I'd much rather go back to human referees making human errors, as with the players. Goal-line technology is great, and I wouldn't be averse to VAR being used for red card challenges and mistaken identity, but the penalty scenarios throw up too many grey areas. Also, the offside decisions by assistant referees were generally very accurate anyway, with very few mistakes. I think the only way VAR can be saved is that a decision can ONLY be overturned by the referee himself, after looking at the incident on a screen. 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
