A team battling relegation or aspiring to promotion cannot afford the luxury of a cup run, be it the "League" Cup or the F.A. Cup.

This line of thought clearly goes against the grain of those wishing for success (a win) in every game and those who adhere to the "winning habit" way of thinking. It's not boring, that's for sure.

It is very much a question of priorities, and already our priority is surviving. As nice as it is to have a juicy cup run those extra games will incite more injuries to the tender muscles and tendons of today's thoroughbred players, and the poor little things do get tired as well.

Should City now go on a run in the league that elevates themselves to a safer mid-table position then an F.A. Cup run would be the perfect platform for Farkism. We would seem to be the kind of team who would excel in these one off games. We are capable of having fantastic moments.

Survival in our league is the utmost priority however.

Will have the most Premiere league relegations to match it soon.

That's the spirit.

PS: It's 'Premier', if you're going to be miserable, at least do it right.

Remember winning 3-0 at Peterborough....any advance on that??

Yep, that's correct. The 12/13 season. We did then get knocked out in the 4th round, and without peeking at Google, who was this too? :classic_ohmy:

The Binners have not won their 'cup final' for the last 10 years. 😀

I did notice their run of unsuccessful derby games has continued when they were beaten by Colchester a week or two back, I only noticed it when I was checking some of the international results....Colchester is a much more natural derby fixture for them in so many ways :classic_ninja::classic_cool:

They also think they’re the biggest club to have ever played in league 1

I think Man City might disagree for one.

Watford done well last season in the F.A Cup.......until they reached the final only to be hammered by Man City, whatever happens in the early rounds one of the top 4 teams will put a strong side out for the final, though Man City did lose to Wigan a few years back.A Watford fan I know was not happy, spoilt a good day out.

And Sunderland.

And Forest - they’ve actually won (much more and better) stuff than the bin men, too.

Not to mention Leeds utd or wolves. Hell they struggle to make it into the top 5 biggest in the last 10 years!

Nearly half the entire league  have won more than ITFC, they just go on about it more because they are tinpot.

A pity that we are one of the exceptions (trophy wise at least) as this fact just enhances their love of history.

They have little else of note to boast about  even though they consider themselves the"biggest" club ever to grace League One.

Suffice to say their inflated impression of their club's significance in the English game is confined to them alone.

Always wondered why MY thinks we play in a French League 🙂

Then again a lot of people still think we're in the Premiership...
