SwindonCanary 455 Posted November 7, 2019 Paulton Rovers are on the radio here saying they are solvent, due to the money they got for the FA Cup tie with Norwich 10 years ago ! I enjoyed it too, a 7-0 win.

Herman 9,710 Posted November 8, 2019 That is why I want Norwich's system to work. Not only will it make me and thousands of City fans happy, but hopefully it would be an example to many other clubs that you don't have to bankrupt yourselves to make it to the top. lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 8, 2019 What a great story. A case of big time football money getting to where it is needed most. Quite warming to think that one of our games has given a club like that such a boost. A small success for us really, but a huge step for Paulton and it seems they are making the most of it. keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted November 8, 2019 Guinness was off at the pub in Paulton and I had to drink "Natch". I swear there were dead mice and insects floating round in it.
canarydan23 4,060 Posted November 8, 2019 It's sad that when £100,000 can do such a lot for a club like Paulton that there are not more examples of Premier League clubs (hell, even Premier League players, it's less than 50% of what some of them earn in a week) not chucking more cash that way. andyc24_uk 58 Posted November 8, 2019 Maybe we should offer them a friendly in the summer to mark 10 years since the FA cup game? Would send a few extra quid their way from ticket sales, we usually have a couple of matches against non-league teams anyhow and it's always good to build relationships with other clubs.

After the furore with the publishing of the club accounts, maybe Paulton can offer us a friendly💰
