Aggy 752 Posted October 31, 2019 Do we know that they definitely did “offer” him a pay cut first? How does the argument about him being captain fit in if so? Is it okay for your captain to partake in such behaviour if he is only earning £10k? Where’s the cut off? 15k? 20k?

That may say a lot about his character as a person, if he is willing to take £25k a week for doing nothing and doesn't even have the decency to issue an apology to Derby fans. I therefore back Derby on this and couldn't care less about Richard Keogh. He would have been asked to apologise like the other two players. What sort of club captain would reject that opportunity. This type of person is everything that is wrong with football and I hope that he never kicks a ball again. All to blame it seems but didn’t the other two do a runner leaving him (Keogh) with a smashed up knee ?

I have got absolutely no time for anyone who drives drunk or gets in a car with a mate who is driving drunk. I’m not as comfortable with ‘an apology’ being enough not to sack the others. One of the other two was driving and they both fled the scene leaving their unconscious teammate behind. Hardly (a) great people or (b) the sorts of team’mates’ I’d want to be playing alongside.
