Alex Moss 2,165 Posted October 22, 2019 Well here’s a bit of good news - and now we know that Tettey can play in front of Godfrey and Amadou on Sunday 👍🏼 https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/huge-godfrey-injury-boost-for-canaries-1-6335728 1

smooth 114 Posted October 22, 2019 It is cracking news. I do wonder if a team like this could get the results in Krul Aarons, Amadou, Godfrey, Lewis Tettey Trybull Buendia Vrancic Cantwell/ Onel Pukki Just think we would have defensive cover allowing our fullbacks to go forward, grit in the middle and playing the ball to our creative and dead ball specialist Vrancic. I recall in the first half of the season Vrancic would come on for Leitner and set up a fair few goals and of course the last third of the season he was outstanding. It would allow our midfield creative 'magicians' confidence knowing that any mistake is going to have hard hitting defensive midfielders behind them. Just a thought, it does mean all defensive midfielders are on the pitch but they could allow us a bit of a safety blanket. I do tend to think it is very unlikely but I could see it working quite well. Be great to see Vrancic get some time soon, when he is fully fit.
Nuff Said 5,131 Posted October 22, 2019 Excellent news. I don’t think anyone else who’s currently injured is likely to be back for a while are they? Is Fahrmann the next in line? Zimbo and Mario are the only big misses for me (ignoring Timm since he’s out for the season).

Surfer 1,547 Posted October 22, 2019 How about (with view to good communications) Tettey and Amadou both speak French, Godfrey does not Krul Aarons, Tettey, Godfrey, Lewis Leitner Amadou Buendia Vrancic Hernandez Pukki
Van wink 2,994 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) Interesting listening to Ben talk about how playing with the hernia actually feels and effects your game. We often forget as fans that quite often players, particuarly for us this season, and for a lot of players towards the end of the season, are playing with injuries, its bound to affect performance, but often it is something about which we are blissfully unaware. Van wink 2,994 Posted October 22, 2019 Just as an aside, I had assumed our game was on TV due to the KO time on a Sunday, it doesnt appear that it is, or have I missed something?

Its on NBC sports Winko, so there should be the gentle trickle of a babbling brook available from many directions.

Capt. Pants 4,228 Posted October 22, 2019 Match is on Sunday as Utd have a tasty trip to Belgrade on Thursday. An extra days R&R for Ben. This is not the free hit we may have envisaged pre-season. Every chance we can get something out of this.

Absolutely VW. He spells out exactly how much it can affect your game: The 21-year-old had been playing through the pain until the international break, until he could have hernia surgery carried out by a specialist in Germany, forcing him to miss England Under-21 duty. He continued: "It's not great, you tend to feel a bit heavy, sluggish, you lose you power sort of, or any motion which does require power like striking a ball, sprinting, things like that - and you're in a world of pain. Canaries head coach Daniel Farke spoke to Ben Godfrey after full-time at Bournemouth, as his players thanked the travelling fans Picture: Paul Chesterton/Focus Images "So obviously that's what you need to do in every game, so it can affect you massively, but to be fair the medical staff looked after me as well as they could during that period of four games where I had to play with it. "I got through it, it was a tough time and painful, but I had to play."

Vrancic is still not ready for a full game. So, don't think we'll see that. Also think he's better in a more deep lying position.
Coneys Knee 953 Posted October 23, 2019 Anyone else on here like to see either Cantwell or Buendia play in the “stiepermann” position? I think with their quick feet in that central role, either could wreak havoc. Pukki would possibly be quiz’s in too

I like Buendia to roam freely and that role centres around being close to the striker and the holes that Pukkis runs will make. Not sure Buendia is that disciplined. Capt. Pants 4,228 Posted October 23, 2019 I'd actually like to see Emi in there. Things haven't quite happened for him yet this season and he easily gets frustrated. I wonder if a slight change in team role might just kick start his season. He's got quick feet and holds the ball a little better than Todd and will draw more fouls. Remember that flick last season, was it Bolton or Millwall? That's where I like to see Emi, in and around the area.
