The Bristol Nest 513 Posted October 19, 2019 Interesting. I think that I like it.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,820 Posted October 19, 2019 So in addition to Krul for McGovern, that's Tettey for Stiepermann. A defensive move but one that was needed. Can't complain at that.
Fuzzar 1,702 Posted October 19, 2019 Who starts centrally behind Pukki? McLean or Todd or Leitner?
HertsCanary93 222 Posted October 19, 2019 I'm a little surprised that Steipermann has been dropped. His physical presence is often quite key for us due to being quite a small team in the final third otherwise. However, I think it is probably the correct call. Leitner needs a big game here, as I thought he was very poor against Villa and Vrancic will be sniffing for his place shortly. Very excited for this game! ron obvious 1,502 Posted October 19, 2019 i wonder who's going to take Marco's role?
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted October 19, 2019 So MacLean takes the forward role in midfield. He certainly won't be the wide player with that lineup.
Capt. Pants 4,227 Posted October 19, 2019 Great to see Argos and Tommy on the bench. We're getting back to full strength and we need to improve the performances from here on in. OTBC.
The Bristol Nest 513 Posted October 19, 2019 (edited) Little rivers of the highest quality and minimal p0rn would be appreciated. Edited October 19, 2019 by The Bristol Nest

Samwam27 527 Posted October 19, 2019 Disappointed amadou is still in defence. Think byram will be a better natural defender and partner to Godfrey. Could have played amadou and tettey to give us some midfield protection
The Bristol Nest 513 Posted October 19, 2019 Amadou is regarded as a better CB than Byram I suppose. Let's see how it works with Tetty giving much needed protection.

I'd imagine tettey will take Kennys slot who will step forward into Steipermanns role, with Mario waiting in the wings too. I am happy with that line up and better attacking options on the bench. Still praying both Godfrey & Amadou stay fit / avoid a red card
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,820 Posted October 19, 2019 Do we think this is still a 4-2-3-1 with McLean as the number ten, or is it a more conservative 4-1-4-1 with Tettey holding and both Leitner and McLean playing as central midfielders? king canary 7,604 Posted October 19, 2019 Not sure I agree Roberts is a worse option off the bench than Srebeny but I'm happy with the first xi.

Kanadyan Kanary 121 Posted October 19, 2019 Settling into the game a bit better now. Tettey has made some good interceptions during the opening exchanges.

king canary 7,604 Posted October 19, 2019 I know it isn't our natural game but we need to work a bit on our crossing, too many easily blocked by the first man. Interesting to see we are sensibly attacking with more discipline- less men chasing forward every time.

king canary 7,604 Posted October 19, 2019 I watched Blackburn v Huddersfield earlier- I think Bradley Dack would be a great fit and a potential upgrade for the attacking midfield position.
