Stinking rich Chinese investor

Recommended Posts

Okay so this justifies carrying on with Delia, right?

Just like Fulham getting relegated justifies spending no money preparing for the EPL.

Villa have moved on from Xia and thrashed Norwich 5-1 so that really drives a coach and horses through what you are inferring.

Well let’s hope they don’t get relegated then because there still could be penalties for breaching ffp rules, classic short term planning, we’ll see how that works out for them in the long run I guess.

Seems their investigation went no further than his Wiki page. 😀

Well Villa seem to be doing well enough now with their stinking rich new owners. Meanwhile the only thing Delia can afford to fund are a few busses to London to protest Brexit.

Nine games gone and Delia comes in for stick. Be careful who you support.

It probably means there are no other suitable owners other than those we now have and to call for anything else is akin to heresy in the one party socialist state in which we live here in Norfolk.

What the heck it means is that last season we had to perform as a self financing club. And we won the league. Meanwhile clubs like QPR, Reading,Stoke, Bristol City all with super rich owners, finished well below us. Others are not as super rich but have very wealthy owners
So with only three promoted from the Championship, some supporters were disappointed and may wonder why they have super rich owners if they don't do well.
We don't have to. This year is a complete bonus and any criticism is so blindly stupid that it makes me wonder why some bother following the club at all.

I see that this black and white comparison is still going on then. Some fans deluding themselves that Delia is the best out there and that anything else should be looked upon as something that's going to ruin the club. We spent next to no money in the summer and we've got a self financing model purely because Delia cannot fund the club. This is another year we're trying to do the PL on the cheap and if anything this is the year we dont want to be - we go down we likely lose 4 of the best prospects this club has had in years.

I agree with this.

Reading through a number of posts it seems that there are a handful of ‘supporters’ who have exchanged their sense of appreciation for entitlement.

Some, dare I say, even give the impression that they should be sharing their wisdom in the boardroom, because they ‘know’ how the club should be run. While others, seem to enjoy the idea of spending other people’s money on ‘their’ club.

It’s a game. It’s a form of entertainment. Yes as fans we get passionate. We get excited. We get engaged. And, being a NCFC fans, just like any other group of fans, we get disappointed. It’s all part of the ‘game’. That’s what made winning the Championship last year so damn sweet! I mean, honestly, who saw that coming?!

Yet there are some who have already ‘moved on’ to bigger goals, like playing in Europe and challenging for the title. That’s fantastic. That’s what it means to be a fan. But being realistic is part of maintaining a healthy approach to this Beautiful game.

No-one said that. It is just that after nine games and seven points and fair share of entertainment, it seems like the knifes are ready to be sharpened and automatically blame it on not spending money when you said yourself that we already have four we could sell on for big money.

Delia isn't the best out there but considering she has put her money into it, until somebody else comes along to improve it and stay long term, then she is the better option.

If we go down you can qualify your opinion, but if  or until we do, it means nothing.

As a Remainer, I'm proud to say that Delia is the (joint) owner of my club.

If you're not, well you probably don't agree with a lot of what Sheik Mansur and his lot get up to at home, but I doubt you would turn them down if they wanted to buy NCFC.

I'm also proud that my club has got to where it is by doing things the right way, investing for the long-term, shopping for talent wisely, contributing to the wider community and playing entertaining football on top of all that.

Do you really think that if someone else comes along then Delia is going to step aside? She has already publicly stated she does not listen to any enquiries and is going instead to hand over to the boy Tom thus continuing this socialist dictatorship in perpetuity.

I've got some great new for you Vince, on Saturday a potential new investor was at the game to see us play, I managed to get a picture, this definitely has legs.

Big Dudley, sounds like your envy is getting the better of you again.

From a book credited to someone called, Oxford...;)

Socialism:

“A political and economic theory of social organizations which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.”

Maybe you mean ‘Marxism’ which “is a transitional social state between the overthrow of Capitalism and the realization of Communism.”

- again, from the good book of Oxford.

So, following your logic, Delia is therefore working to realize a state of Communism?

So, working with your fragmented emotional conjecture which has done nothing but demonstrate your lack of understanding in your use of words, Communism means:

”A political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.”

Please do share how you see this happening at the club.......

As for the ‘dictatorship’ aspect of your Dudley drivel, which means, “absolute authority in any sphere”, Delia is the majority shareholder and owns the business, which is something your ego and mind clearly struggles to accept.

So, please, before you attempt to bulldoze your tripe into other people’s worlds, just check yourself. Otherwise you do nothing but look a fool.

P. S. - I think it’s awesome that Delia & Michael are is a position to create a legacy for her family. Are you able to do that, or do you waist your time and energy moaning about what you don’t have?

Never have I "liked" or " thankyou'd" so many posts on one page of a thread,  to save anyone checking I  firmly  pro Delia. She may occasionally be ridiculed  for the ' let's be havin you" tirade , but is also  widely  admired and  respected for her  love and unflinching support of and for the Club. She is a figurehead  that most football people are aware of, "Norwich City" ....that's Delia isn't it.  Despite  a few beatings already this season our Club is a stable  , progressive,  self funded entity,  with almost every bit bought and paid for.  I wouldn't  swap her for anyone  other than a younger version of herself....just so she could carry on for longer. As for Tom, let's not knock him until  he is in charge and messing up big time, which may never happen.

People bandy  around expressions like. ' Suffolk socialists' and Nepotism Tom' while at the same time offering no real alternative other than " someone with a shoiteload of money '. ... though who exactly  that might be, given that our current  books balanced status    means that we would cost a fair few quid to buy. No one is getting their  hands on our club for a quid and taking on our debt, cos we dont have one. Long may it continue.  Once again .....you dont need  rich owners if you have a rich Club. I don't  really care if we never win the champions league,  the premier league or the Europa league,  I do care that we are a real Club, with a defined and well trodden pathway from academy to first team, Bolstered  by smart recruitment  and quality  coaching , giving us a Club that can compete and entertain.  If this leads, over  time,  to us being very successful  on the pitch as well , then that is all I can ask. If it all fails and in five years time we are in league one or two and in debt to our eyeballs  then I will apologise  to all , including BV . Untill then, back under your  bridge  , Troll.

Looks like the reporting was incorrect, he was scouting players for Blackburn Rovers and AFC Barking.

You are very, very misguided as to what owning a football club is supposed to be all about. It is supposed to be for the fans, not something to be kept in the family. Otherwise, why should fans bother to turn up every week? You are saying fans are simply waiting for the boy Tom to take over and have no aspiration to achieve anything on the pitch. Delia is selfish. At least Sir Arthur knew when it was time to step down as he was a man of the people. And look at the golden era his act ushered in. Delia has so much to learn.

That'll be what happens to the majority of football clubs, are they all doing it wrong?

The Premier League bubble will burst one day and when that happens these "rich" foreign owners will seek to invest elsewhere leaving God knows what of a shambles behind them. And when that happens the fallout in the lower leagues will be immense too. We are in a very good position.

We are doing the right thing in the right way. Personally I have no desire to be a supporter of a rich club with no soul, no identity and a stadium full of tourists. I'm quite happy with the direction we are taking. That doesn't mean that there can't be a balance between spending £750k and £15m to strengthen the squad but that's another issue.

I think it's really sweet how folk think that without Delia we'd have the same club but have more money and do better. Even when the majority of these investor owners are at clubs that do worse than us and some of those clubs are unrecognisable from what they once were.

Bless 'em.

I actually think there are a lot of Man Utd  fans who would love to get shot of the Glazers and get their club back. Even if it means lurking in thr shadows of their bitter rivals for a while.

We don't have to. This year is a complete bonus and any criticism is so blindly stupid that it makes me wonder why some bother following the club at all.

And you seem very misguided about what SUPPORTING a football club is about. Ask Bury and Bolton and even Ipswich whether they liked the way their club was or is run or would like to be us.

Maybe they are passionate about the club and only want the best for the club and believe we need to step on with more wealthy owners to sustain premier league status.
