pete 318 Posted September 18, 2019 Tony Pulis on Goals on Sunday pointed out that Man City unperformed against City may have been due to their players going away for the Internationals this may have been the case why they were soundly thrashed. When you look at Man Utd's run up to their fixture at Carrow Rd. Reads as follows 3/10 Away at AZ Alkmar 6/10 Newcastle Away 13/10 International weekend 2 fixtures for number of Utd players 20/10 Liverpool Home 24/10 Partizan Belgrade Away 27/10 The Big One This is a difficult fixture list which hopefully will be to our benefit a few injuries and suspensions will be welcomed.

You can always rely on him to talk a load of crap. Another failed journeyman manager who is an even worse as a pundit.

Another failed journeyman manager who is an even worse as a pundit. Bit harsh. He was always very good at doing what he specialised in, which was keeping unfashionable teams in the Premier League from difficult situations. Anyway, United are likely to make a raft of changes in the Europa League this season so I wouldn't expect it to have too much of an impact.
Aggy 750 Posted September 18, 2019 To be honest, Liverpool and Man City were the only games this season I classed as a write off, and we saw how that went on Saturday. Man Utd are obviously still a top quality side and if we are off the boil against them they’ll probably put a few past us.... but they don’t scare me like they would have done ten years ago. splendidrush 699 Posted September 19, 2019 There's a heap of lazy journalism our there, saying that Man City were complacent, underperformed, or tired from International duties. Even when it's pointed out that Norwich played their part, it's dismissed out of hand. The hours, and column inches, dedicated to how Man City will survive without Laporte, when they already have a million € squad to choose from beggars belief. It is good for people to keep underestimating Norwich 🙂

To be fair though, after the Stones injury, the only centre back they have left is Otamendi. I know Man City have a squad worth over £500m, but it's all relative, and a squad competing for the Premier League and Champions League title will find it very tough to achieve those aims with just Otamendi at centre back.
