The Great Mass Debater 1,202 Posted September 1, 2019 The team is full of young lads not used to losing. Aarons for example had his first season last season where we were dominant and winning most games. He had the freedom to attack, so mostly his experience was positive. This season he is being exposed even more, the results will be such that we will lose more than we win, and he will be tasked with defending far more than last season. He will also be exposed to criticism, whereas up until now, all he has had is praise. These are completely new challenges for a young lad. He will have to adapt to things being very very different. I hope our young squad will be getting the support they need. Im sure Farke is exactly the right man for the job, and the seasoned pro's we do have seem to be made of the right stuff (the prima donnas and non-team players like Oliveira and Watkins having been excised from the group). Developing the right mental state is imperitive this season. I was a bit concerned that the lacklustre performance and deflated feel of the team may be the consequence of defeats by Chelsea and Crawley. Three straight defeats is, I imagine, a new experience for this team. They need to learn how to pick themselves up. I thought a number of heads were down yesterday
